Her photographs go straight to the heart. Micha Eicher loves to express, move and touch with her images. She is interested in the stories behind the scenes. As the winner of the 2024 Swiss Photo Prize in the reportage/storytelling category, her photos from a disappearing campsite attracted a lot of attention. The jury highlighted her keen powers of observation and her unbiased view of this microcosm. She has captured to these stories in her high-quality photography book ' The Last Summer '. As an instructor for her favorite camera brand, Leica Camera, she loves to share her enthusiasm for creating images with others.

When she's teaching, Micha wants to inspire and create joy. With Micha Eicher photography & workshops she shares her unique way of changing perspective. After all, if you want to see something new, you need a new way of looking at the world. Micha is interested in the feelings behind the visible surface. For her, taking photographs while traveling is also a way of slowing down and opening doors to get in touch with people. Whether with a mobile phone or a camera, Micha creates a space in her courses for people to express themselves and try out new things. Without judgment and without being measured. Just be there, observe, photograph and experiment. Pure deceleration. And (almost) no technical blah-blah.

Micha is a fan of co-creation. Photo shoots, like photo workshops, are the result of collaboration, a give and take. That's why the tone between the lines is important to her. She has a well-established network and gives seminars throughout Switzerland for Leica Camera AG and conducts photo workshops worldwide. She is the creator and author of several books, bookazines and magazines. With her agency 'scharfsinn', she realizes sophisticated communication and photographic concepts with depth for national and international clients.
