Slow photography

program

Photography begins, first and foremost, with ourselves. What do we see, what do we focus on, what do we want to capture, and why? If you look consciously before you take the first shot, you won't need to press the shutter as often to capture the desired mood.

"The camera is an instrument that teaches people to see without a camera."
Dorothea Lange

Sometimes we need to break away from tried-and-true behavioral patterns and processes. Away from perfect technique and toward training our own perception.

Slow photography is decelerating your photography with a focus on the essentials:

Reportage and corporate photographer Micha Eicher reveals how to train your eyes, observe ahead, change perspectives, recognize details, and play with available light. We'll explore the magic of the moment and consciously perceive and capture it. Our tools include image composition, visual impact, and our very own visual language. Because learning to see is the most important foundation for atmospheric images.
